Richard V. Proulx, CPA
Rick Proulx, (pronounced pru), one
of the firms nine partners, has 21 years of experience
in public accounting and private industry. His public accounting
experience includes nine years with large national and international
firms. Rick has provided professional services in a variety
of industry settings encompassing construction, mortgage brokers,
distribution, manufacturing, hospitality, healthcare, government
and nonprofit organizations. While in the employ of an international
firm, Rick gained experience in managing and performing audits
of publicly held companies, including preparation and review
of Form 10-K. Prior to joining DeLap White Caldwell &
Croy, LLP in 1996, Rick spent three years as a controller
for a private contracting and water utility company.
Rick is also the co-leader of DWCCs Mortgage Broker
team. He maintains the professional education requirements
to conduct compliance audits of HUD-approved Mortgage Brokers
and Loan Correspondents and minimizes audit costs for all
of the firms Mortgage Broker clients.
Rick is well equipped to handle all aspects of financial reporting, both for internal management purposes and external and regulatory purposes. He has developed and assisted in the implementation of accounting and reporting systems to provide timely and efficient information tools to management and owners. Rick has also worked with start-up companies, organizational restructuring, acquisitions, mergers and dispositions of companies. He has also provided temporary controller services to companies in the construction, retail and distribution industries.
Rick is a member of the American Institute of
Certified Public Accountants, the Oregon Society of Certified
Public Accountants, a former member of the Arizona Contractors
Association and a past chairman of the Arizona Governmental
Accounting Conference. He has been active in youth sports
and is a past chairman of the finance council of his church.
Rick has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Arizona
State University. Rick and his wife, Cheryl, are the proud
parents of five children.
