Darlene M. Kargel, CPA

Darlene Kargel is a partner and auditor at DeLap White Caldwell & Croy, LLP with 31 years of accounting and computer application experience. Ms. Kargel has performed PIN Security and Symmetric Key Management Network Security Compliance Reviews since 1992 for ATM and POS transactions. Clients include banks, processors, retail POS processors, and key injection facilities in the USA, Canada and Mexico. Darlene has taught PIN Security and Symmetric Key Management Network Security Compliance classes since 1997. These classes are approved and endorsed by NYCE Corporation, PULSE EFT Association and STAR Network, Inc., for auditors to complete the required Network Compliance Review.

Darlene is a former member of the ANS X9A3 Retail Banking Industry Committee and the former chairperson of ANS X9F3 Working Group responsible for the revisions and subsequent publishing of ANS X9.24-1998 Symmetric Key Management for Retail Banking.

As a current member and Vice Chair of ANSI X9/F6 Working Group, Darlene is chairing a sub-committee for the re-write of ANSI TG-3 PIN Security Compliance Guideline, which is the PIN and Key Management Compliance Review document currently utilized by major regional networks in the United States for their member compliance reviews.
