Timothy R. Filkins, CPA

Tim Filkins is a tax principal with the firm. He has over 25 years of experience in public accounting and private industry. His public accounting experience includes 17 years with national and regional CPA firms. Tim has provided professional services in a variety of industries including manufacturing, wholesale distribution, hospitality, real estate and agribusiness. While a partner of a regional firm, Tim devoted significant time in assisting privately and publicly-held companies with merger and acquisitions, multi-entity and multi-state tax issues, with the dollar value of acquisitions exceeding one billion.

His private industry experience includes directing the finance, taxation, and export trade functions of an international paper distributor as Vice President, CFO. He was also responsible for directing several business acquisitions involving Asian and European investors.

Tim is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is also active in his church and in community organizations.

Tim is a graduate of Colorado State University where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business, major in accounting and Master’s Degree in Accounting, emphasis in taxation.
